Keely Is Home

Wow! It is real! Keely Solana Sanchez has moved in. Alrighty, in a nut shell...we went in to the hospital on Sunday evening for a scheduled Induction (due to the high blood pressure) on Monday. Christy was put on magnesium to fight the high blood pressure which had some tuff side effects (slows labor and makes you feel like you've been hit by a truck). The next morning (Monday 12/22) Christy was given the pitocin to induce labor. We had a 20% chance of a vaginal delivery and praise God, we did it. Christy was able to push the baby out in 40min!...and at 8:30pm on Monday 12/22, there SHE was...Keely Solana:) We had a girl! She was 20inch long and weighed 6lb 11oz (not bad for being 2 weeks early). Not finding out the gender added to the whole expereince. It was like Keely in a matter of seconds took on this identity that was waiting to be claimed. Finding out we had a daughter right after delivering her was quite the moment. We were released from the hospital Christmas Eve and bringing Keely home for the first time was amazing. This truly was the best (early) Christmas present we ever got (of course after Jdesus). Now we have been playing the role of mom and dad...and quit honestly...really enjoy it even though it is at times exhausting. I truly didn't know how much time would pass by while just staring at her sleep or look around (always learning). She has captured our hearts right from the get-go. She had us at Waaahhhh!

COngrAtes!!! I had stumbled upon you blog a little while ago and even tho I don't know you I couldn't wait to find out what you had!! She is just beautiful. The fun is just begining and try to soak up each and every moment because they grow up WAY too fast. My son just turned 13 and just this morning a memory of when he was little flashed threw my mind and I felt a little sadness. I so miss those days. He is such a blessing as I am sure your little pumpkin is. ENJOY :o)
